Oh
dear…Sue is singlehandedly saving the US economy from going into
meltdown!!! We sent a smallish parcel
home after day 2, then a good sized box before we left Honolulu. This was because (as Pauline Hanson would say)
we found the Disney shop. Well bugger me
if Sue and Jamie don’t do the Waikele Factory Outlets on Friday so we will have
to find the Post Office to send the next box back!!!! Sue says she can’t help
it if the grandkids are having birthdays, however Phil suspects present buying
in general will slow down a little, but will NEVER stop. She bought herself a
pair of Sketchers shoes and today a hand painted shirt, so I am guessing the
munchkins at home will be doing well when we get home and unpack the boxes!!!!!
She is incorrigible!!! But I do love her dearly. J
Here we are
enjoying shipboard life on our 80,000 tonne luxury liner. We have a great
balcony cabin on deck 10, one deck below the pool and main restaurant. The ship
is beautifully fitted out and easy to get around. The photos below give some
idea of how nice it is. By the way, the staff are very friendly with a great
sense of humour - note the towel folded as a seal.
Speaking of
humour, we had a taste of the entertainment coming up this week at the opening
show last night. The comedian is first rate, the illusionist is brilliant, and
the four guys doing the Four Seasons tribute show are every bit as good as the
ones who did Jersey Boys. The piano bar entertainer does wonderful renditions
of Elton John’s and Billy Joel’s songs and the cast of the Vegas show will be a
real treat to watch when they do the full show.
Overnight we
sailed from Honolulu to Maui where we docked in Kahului Harbour. We are here
overnight and have been to Maui before, so we decided to spend most of the day
off our feet lying by the pool and go into town tomorrow. Jamie and Gary have
taken the bus ride to Hana some distance to the east. It is a very winding road
and we suspect they might be a bit woozy when they get back.
