We arrived
in New York on Thursday after a smooth pleasant train trip from Boston along
the Rhode Island and Connecticut coastlines.
Our hotel is
very close to Times Square, Broadway and the Theatre District so on Friday we
walked up to 42nd Street (remember the show of that name?) and saw Aladdin.
What a fantastic production! The acting, singing, dancing, scenery, lighting
and anything else you can think of were brilliant! We only knew one song – A Whole
New World – but it was sung by the lovers while flying on a magic carpet above
the stage. So add staging to the list of brilliant aspects of the production.
We haven’t
taken many photos yet but we will as we get out and about. In the meantime here
are a couple of photos of the top of the Empire State Building from our hotel window.
